Chief Steve Bradley has been a firefighter and fire officer for 40 years. Chief Bradley started with the Lawrence (Indiana) Volunteer Fire Department in 1979 and began his career as a firefighter/paramedic with the Washington Township (Marion County, Indiana) Fire Department in 1981. Steve has been with the Indianapolis Fire Department for 13 years and is currently a Battalion Chief. Throughout his career, Steve has held every position from firefighter to Assistant Chief.

In addition to his fire service, he has been a flight/paramedic with Lifeline helicopter, a founding board member of EMS for Children with the State of Indiana EMS Commission, and paramedic instructor at Methodist and St. Vincent’s Hospitals in Indianapolis.

Steve has an associate degree in Business Administration from Vincennes University, a bachelor’s degree in Fire and Safety Engineering from Eastern Kentucky University and a Graduate Certificate from the National Fire Academy as an Executive Fire Officer. Chief Bradley is a member of the International Association of Firefighters, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Fire Protection Association and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
